Adoption isn’t the solution for every person to help animals in need, but
everyone can help in some way to raise money for the animals during their
stay at Wood County Humane Society. Most of our budget depends on our
annual fundraisers, so your participation is really important to us! The more
people involved means a larger budget to improve animal’s stay and our
services to Wood County. Mark these events on your calendar and of course
share them with your circle of friends!

You don’t always have to visit the shelter to see the animals or be a part of our
mission! Join us at our regularly scheduled adoption events in the community!
A few times each month, we are at community events and businesses with
animals sharing news about Wood County Humane Society (and some furry
snuggles!) and also how our neighborhoods can continue healthy pet
If you have a group of students, troop, classroom, organization, service group,
or civic organization wanting an interactive experience with the WCHS,
consider contacting our Volunteer and Outreach Coordintor for an educational
presentation. This is a great opportunity to learn in depth about a specific
aspect of Wood County Humane Society of your choosing and learn ways
your group can help. For more information or to set-up a presentation, please
contact our Volunteer Coordinator.
